Student Competitions

The intent of Student Competition Grants is to enable them to
participate in advanced academic competitions on the state and
national level that are not fully funded by Dare County Schools.

DEF will cover the registration costs for a school to send students to
an academic competition up to $1,000.

If more than one school is sending students to the same competition,
one teacher should act as lead applicant and fill out the form for all
schools attending. Information should still be given for all schools
participating, and the lead applicant will collect and organize all
information for the application. Multiple applications for the same
student competition will not be accepted.

If the grant is funded, the check will be delivered to the school of
the lead applicant, who will then be responsible for distributing the
funds appropriately.
