Jorts in June
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Jorts in June at The Blue Crab! The event was a denim-filled success, featuring goats from Mane & Taill Academy, great music from DJ Blacking and Trick Fly, and plenty of community spirit.
Congratulations to Susan, winner of the Best in Jorts competition, and thank you to our friends at The Blue Crab Tavern for supporting the teachers and students of Dare County. We appreciate everyone who helped make the event such a memorable celebration.
Dare Day Dockside
The Dare Education Foundation had a fantastic time at Dare Day Dockside on June 6 at Wanchese Marina!
It was wonderful to celebrate the heritage, culture, and community spirit that make Dare County such a special place while connecting with friends, supporters, and neighbors from across the community. Visitors enjoyed great food, live music, local vendors, and plenty of waterfront fun throughout the day.
One of the highlights was our dunk tank fundraiser, where Executive Director Ben Sproul and Dare County Board of Education member Justin Bateman were good sports and took the plunge for a great cause. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared a laugh, and helped support educational opportunities for Dare County students.
We’re grateful to be part of such an amazing community and are already looking forward to next year!
